Tree Wood Logs Wanted

Perhaps, I can be of value to you or your clients that need to have downed trees removed from a property in Nevada County. Generally, raw logs are treated as a waste stream, a nuisance to get rid of. Here at Salvage Sawmill, we can remove accessible logs on most medium to large trees to ultimately find a higher purpose for your departed trees. It’s is a huge honor to turn trees that would normally be “thrown away” into usable products; thus, eliminating the disposal fee for you or your client and keeping it out of the landfill! The tree may have needed to be removed, but the millable wood is still very useful for generations to come.
To be millable, logs must be relatively straight and free of decay. Currently, we are accepting Cedar, Redwood and all hardwoods at least 16+ inches diameter, and 8 to 20 feet in length. We may accept shorter lengths of particularly unique wood, burls, etc. We are not accepting Pine or Doug Fir at this time.
Note: We have equipment to load accessible logs at your residence or job site or from a staging area if you have one. If you prefer, you can also drop logs at our yard in Penn Valley.
