A changing season...
I have 27' motohome searching for the right space with electric, water, and room for my mid size vehicle. Sewage or some kind of detached toilet would be ideal.
I'm wrapping up a lovely house sitting gig here in downtown Grass Valley and taking a peek at what the community has to offer while contemplating what's next for me and Princess FatCat.
Oh yea! I have a cat and she's super pretty and super chill unless you are also a cat then she probably won't be into you. Hopefully you're not also a cat. I have irons in many communal fires here in Nevada County and I'm interested in being close to downtown GV so I can better stoke those fires.
I'm easy to get along with and value communication in relationships. If you're not easy to get along with, I'll probably try to figure out how to meet you wherever you are. If you're still difficult to get along with, I'm likely to move on. I'm into rolling up my sleeves and navigating tough relationships but I can't hang in spaces that aren't centered on growth. I'm a growth guy.
I'm conscientious and communal minded but also very private and busy with lots of projects. I'm a writer hoping to carve out this winter for some serious progress on my book which is a collection of poetry and stories about traveling and mental health and the experience of an obese, anxious guy in countries where everything is so tiny.
By day, I'm a case manager at a local outreach organization. I provide support and resources to individuals in our county experiencing homelessness. I teach mindfullness and "poetry as practice" to at-risk teens at Silver Springs High School. I also lead online workshops where we use writing as a tool for witnessing and self mastery. I've just begun a mentoring program with one of our local non profits and currently investigating how to get more funding for those kinds of programs so I can better serve the youth population.
By night, I write, record and perform spoken word and host myriad open mic events all around town. So, I'm always up to something and I'm always in the pursuit of purpose. (And probably pizza)
Lots and lots of references upon request. Drop a line and say hello. I've been moving around this county for a while now and lifting anchor is always a rad way of meeting new folks. Even if we don't click today maybe something we will click tomorrow.
