I inherited this Eurovan from my mother about four years ago with under 100k miles. She was the original owner and only used it for driving around town because she enjoyed the great visibility and comfortable seats. She never used it for camping or trips, so the whole interior was in mint condition. She also kept up with the regular maintenance.
Since I took ownership, I've only used it for a campings trip once it year. I replaced the tires and brakes, so they are essentially new. The only problem I had with it was with the heater core that was replaced. I temporarily removed the rear facing seats and the refrigerator, to make for room for camping equipment, but they can easily be put back in. It does have a couple small fender scrape/dents that don't show up in the pictures, but it is still in overall fantastic shape. I'm just not using it often enough to justify the insurance, etc, and I could use the money.
Recently I discovered that the front heater wasn't working so I brought it to a VW repair expert. It turns out that both the front and rear heaters are working fine, but the air vents to the front are having a problem. Unfortunately, access to vents requires totally opening up the dash, which they are estimating will cost over $2000. I do not want to put that kind of money into a 'simple' repair. Instead I'm reducing the price by $3000 assuming that potential buyers can do the repair cheaper (or they are fair weather campers like me who can live with just the rear heater).
Features included: ADS, power steering, Tilt Wheel, am/fm/cassette/multi-CD player, AC (front and back), power windows, power locks, cruise control, dual air bags, allow wheels, popup roof with zipper windows, refrigerator, fold down table, and a box of window screens that I've never used.
