Do you want a mellow, loving, gentle giant to protect your home, family and livestock? Do you want a happy working dog who can also lie quietly in front of your feet and watch TV?

BigLola was rescued from a truly horrible life in Azerbaijan and has been recovering at Spandow House in Smartsville for the past 9 months. Her personality blossomed almost immediately and she now an affectionate, super intelligent and obedient girl. She is spayed, vaxed and 100% healthy. She currently spends her days playing with the other rescues and rolling over for endless belly rubs.

Lola enjoys being an outside dog and instinctually lies by our neighbor's gate where she can watch over their goats, horses and sheep! In the evenings when the animals are stabled, she likes to lie right outside our front door to protect her humans. This is a truly special dog, about 3 years old, who will melt your heart when you meet her. She is silly and goofy but a natural protector. She loves playing with her toys, balls and chasing her best friend Peaches around the property (see pictures).

Lola ADORES puppies and is super gentle and protective over them. She likes to patrol the fences every morning and teach the puppy the routine. We haven't tested this, but we guess she would be amazing with small children because was so careful and gentle around a tiny puppy, just giving her some soft kisses.

Lola would love to have a job and guard over animals but would equally be a fantastic match for a single man or woman or a couple who wants affectionate company and home or personal protection. She was fostered briefly in an apartment and did just fine sleeping on the floor for 3 nights. She requires very little exercise and is happy just being around her people. She has never once tried to leave the property when the gates were occasionally left open. Lola could likely be trained as a service animal, she is insanely intelligent.

The puppy pictured is also available for adoption, a 9 month old smaller pitty mix called Peaches. They would LOVE to be adopted together! Peaches is typical of her breed, super affectionate and cuddly, playful and eager to please. Treat motivated and easy to handle.

You can see her journey and transformation below or by following her daily updates.
