This pair of Martin Logan Sequel II electrostatic loudspeakers are still in daily use. I bought them new in 1990, and they had new electrostatic panels installed in 1993. There is an electrostatic panel in the upper part of the speaker for midrange and high frequencies. In the lower part of the cabinet is a 10" acoustic suspension woofer.
Each speaker weighs 100 pounds. The speakers are 72" high, 14" wide, and 13" deep.
You can learn more about them on the Martin Logan website at: https://www.martinlogan.com/en/product/sequelii
The speakers still sound great. The oak "rails" are in good condition. The matte black semi-rubberized finish on the cabinets has deteriorated over the years and shows dust quite well. The front grills have slipped down such that the bottom grill now touches the floor. This is a common problem with these speakers, as the grills were glued on and over the decades they creep down.
They still work well and I continue to be impressed with the clarity and transparency of instruments and voices on good recordings.
I have some of the original paperwork, as well as the original shipping boxes.
I would keep these, but am downsizing and they won't fit in the new home.
