1970 VW bus, engine rebuilt by Jansen Enterprise in Belmont and bored out to 1776 cc, has 30k miles. Stock single port, it moves! Recently replaced oil cooler, engine seals and tubes, generator rebuilt.

Paint job was done by South Bay Auto in Redwood City to original Bahia red. All lights, windows and rubber gaskets were removed during paint prep. Window and door gaskets were replaced. Paint was done several years ago and there’s been virtually no rust since. I’ve stored bus in garage when I’m not driving it, some of the paint has worn off on the roof otherwise it still looks new.

Custom lumber rack is lightweight, can hold a lot of weight and looks awesome.

Replaced the old beige interior with custom Sewfine door panels, headliner and new front seat covers.

Steering is smooth and responsive, new rebuilt steering gear box from Wolfgang.

Drum brakes in great condition. Heater is hot.

Tons of life on the steel underneath and the front floor is super solid. It was reinforced with steel plates and finished with truck bed liner. Original Cali blue plates.

Modern stereo, 5’’ speakers behind the front seat and 6x9s under the back seat, USB port, amp.

I love sleeping in this bus. The rear seat back comes out and a piece of plywood fits in for a spacious bed. Table folds out table behind passenger seat.

I’ve been driving this bus for the last 28 years and use it on extended road trips and drive it locally several times a month. My dad had it 24 years before me so between us both we know it well. I have all the maintenance records. I’ve restored this bus and kept it well maintained and am looking for someone to carry the torch!

The rear cargo hatch opens but hinges are worn and need to be replaced. Needs new tires.
