I have the coat my mother wore when I was a kid in the 1950s. Don't know when she bought it, I just remember she wore it to go out on special occasions, Saturday nights. I was probably 5 or 6 years old when I first heard the words "cashmere coat" without understanding what it was. It's in excellent condition, luxurious 100% black cashmere wool with fine satin lining. It's size small, approximately knee length. And it is very difficult to photograph!
This is a stylish winter garment, perfect for a woman who appreciates vintage clothing for the quality, and simply the "look" of clothing made to last. This one certainly has! BTW, cashmere wool comes from a few varieties of goats.
