Sold by Sears Roebuck and company , manufactured between 1946-7 and 1951-4 depending on which website you're looking at .
The Sears Elgin was built by West Bend . I've found 2 websites (I'm sure theres probably more) that have a lot of good information and pictures.
This one runs good , water pump is strong , fuel tank (aluminum) is very clean , prop looks good , has a dent on the housing I'm sure could be knocked out from the inside , would make a fairly easy restoration if you were so inclined , looks like new decals are available. I even have the original (I assume) wooden handle for the pull rope .I'm asking $150 or best offer , comes with the stand .
Would be perfect for a vintage canoe , small inflatable , skiff , kicker for a small sailboat or just to display .
Give me a call if you're interested I'm in grass Valley .
