Winter At Sand Harbor ~Lake Tahoe" is another oil painting in my series, capturing the beauty of Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The original painting has sold but museum quality prints are available in a variety of sizes and media. Greeting cards also available!
The crystal clear water of this very deep lake (over 1,600 feet) has tones of azure blues and turquoise colors that are reminiscent of the colors found in the Caribbean. Thousands of little, tiny brush strokes were used to capture the texture of the rocks and the chop of the water with the resulting wave caustics on the shallow sand bottom.
